Rob O’Regan takes a look at what’s happening, or not, in the mobile investment space. According to his findings if you’re not investing in mobile, you’re already behind.   That at least was a consensus point among the panel. What’s keeping publishers from investing more heavily in mobile? You’ll have to read his post to discover the two main obstacles.

ABC attempts to change the network TV model – one 30 second commercial at a time
Established more than half a century ago the economic relationship between the major TV networks and their local affiliates decreed that control of the bulk of the ad time duringprime (8 to 11 p.m.) A revenue model that remained largely unchanged, until last Wednesday when ABC unveiled a “groundbreaking” plan that should alter that decades-old system. There aren’t going to be more commercials being squeezed into prime time, but the mix of commercials will change. For the better? Only time will tell… stay tuned.
Matching nonprofits’ projects with professionals who can help
If you happen to be located in the NYC Area checkout Catchfire it’s a site that aims to improve the quality of the matches between professionals and the nonprofits that need their help. Although still in beta this certified B-corporation has matched more than 70 organizations with professionals who have volunteered more than 3,000 hours to provide over USD 500,000 in services since May.
